Individual Therapy

Individual therapy, also known as psychotherapy or counseling, is a form of treatment where a person works one-on-one with a trained therapist to explore and address personal issues, mental health concerns, and emotional difficulties. The goal is to help individuals gain insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop more adaptive coping mechanisms to improve their overall well-being.

Individual therapy can address a wide range of issues, including:

  •   Anxiety

  •   Depression

  •   Personality Disorder

  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  •  Relationship problems

  •  Identity Development

  •  Grief and loss

  •  Life transitions (e.g., divorce, employment change, relocation)

The process is highly personalized, allowing individuals to work through their unique challenges in a confidential, supportive environment.

Our clinicians’ approaches include Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Humanistic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is a form of psychotherapy designed to help couples improve their relationship, resolve conflicts, and better understand each other’s needs and perspectives. It is facilitated by a trained therapist who specializes in relationships. The therapy provides a safe, structured environment for partners to communicate openly, explore emotional issues, and work on practical solutions to problems.

The goals of couples therapy can vary but often include:

  •  Improving communication skills

  •  Resolving conflicts and addressing specific issues (e.g., trust, intimacy, infidelity)

  • Strengthening emotional connection

  • Developing healthier patterns of interaction

  •  Rebuilding trust and commitment

Couples therapy can be useful for partners at any stage of their relationship, whether they are dating, engaged, married, or even considering separation or divorce.

Our clinicians’ approaches include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Family Therapy

Family therapy, also known as family counseling, is a type of psychotherapy that helps families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and enhance their relationships. It involves multiple family members and is guided by a trained therapist who specializes in family dynamics. The aim is to address problems affecting the family unit and to promote healthier, more functional interactions.

Family therapy is used to treat a variety of issues, including:

  • Family conflict

  • Communication breakdowns

  •  Parenting challenges

  •  Substance abuse

  •  Mental health disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety) that impact family dynamics

  • Divorce or separation

  • Coping with illness or death in the family

The goal is to help family members understand one another better, strengthen their emotional bonds, and create positive, lasting changes in the family system.

Our clinicians’ approaches include Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI), Systemic Family Therapy, and Bowenian Therapy, depending on the needs of the family.
